Which systems include it

Remote phone access comes with our two IP systems. The 5MP Full Color system includes remote viewing from your phone, and the 4K Ultra HD system includes remote access by app as well. The 2MP analog system is the exception — it records solid 1080p video to its DVR, but it's video only and doesn't include phone viewing. We're specific about this because it's exactly the kind of feature that gets promised across the board and shouldn't be: it's real on IP, not on analog.

What you can actually do from the app

With an IP system set up, you pull up your cameras on your phone from wherever you are — check the front door from work, look in on the shop after hours, glance at the driveway before you pull in. On the 4K system, two-way audio means you can also hear and speak through the camera, so you're not just watching, you can respond. It's the difference between wondering what's going on at home and simply looking.

The same view you'd get on the living-room screen, now on your phone — as long as you're on one of the IP systems, not the analog line.

The 2MP exception, stated plainly

If phone access is a must-have, don't buy the analog system expecting it — that line doesn't include the app. This is one of those places where being clear up front saves everyone a bad surprise.
